Centerpiece Wednesday- Almost Halloween!

Posted with BlogsyMy daughter Emily needed a witch hat for her costume the other night but didn't want to spend a lot money. So I rummaged around in my Halloween stuff and found.....
This!....an old witch hat with green hair attached...maybe you remember when I used it to make a witch scarecrow in my front yard years ago? HERE
We commenced on a serious Witch hat makeover! First thing cut off the stringy green hair...BTW I've seen these hats at Walmart..they still make them.
Next...a little shopping of course! Emily went to Michaels and scored in finding some
sparkly orange decor for the hat..a buck each! Then at hobby lobby she found the awesome black and siver feathered boa.
Emily wrapped the boa twice around the brim of the hat and hot glued it in places to keep it sturdy.
Then she took white tulle and tied a big huge bow in the front again securing it with hot glue...what did we ever use before hot glue??!! and then she hit glued Mr. Sparkly skeleton head in the center of the bow.
First we thought about hot glueing the glitter balls around the base of the hat but you couldn't see them so Emily came up with a great idea...to add them all around the pointy part of the hat. They are so light weight they stayed on perfectly! Emily spayed hat with glue and sprinkled glitter all around too!
Pretty cool huh?!! I think I will use it as a centerpiece! I did a fun Witchy Tablescape awhile ago you can see it here
They looked gorgeous!! And had a blast at Witch's Night Out!

Are you like me when trying to find a new purse?
#1. I don't want to pay a lot of money...sorry "coach" none of those for me
#2. I dont want a huge honkin purse that could fit the kitchen sink in it...seriously have you seen the sizes of purses out there these days??
#3. I want it to be light weight because it kills my back and shoulder to lug around a heavy bag.
#4. I want the inside to be light in color instead of a dark hole where I can't find things
#5. I want it to be stylish and I want it to pretty much go with almost everything!
Is that too much to ask??? Well....I found one!
While visiting my mom we decided to do a little shopping and went to Charming Charlie's! If you are not familiar with this store it is a fun accessories store that sells all kinds of purses, jewelry, scarves, shoes and some clothing items...the cool thing about this shop is that everything in the store is displayed and organized by color!!! I first heard of this shop while living in Texas and LOOVED it! Here is the inside of my purse...black and white striped lining so cute!
So happy with My new $39.00 purse...someone even asked me if it was a Kate Spade purse!
I realized after I took this picture I had the purse turned around...here is the front of the purse with cool gold zipper pouch for my cell phone.
Do you love my wrinkled denim shirt??? Lol...I'm just casual today at home
Yeah I probably should've ironed this or at least spritzed it with water and thrown it in the dryer but hey im keeping it real for you :)
For a girl who has never been a "blue" fan I am sure wearing a lot of blue denim shirts these days! Please notice I spiced up my outfit with my cheetah ballet flats...yeah that is what I am talking about! I'm starting a new fad! A wrinkled denim shirt mixed with cheetah shoes! The fashionistas of the world better look out! Karin from The Style Sisters is coming into town today LOL

My cute niece Samantha is a very talented makeup artist and decided to try out her skills on us...it was so fun! I decided I wanted to be a snow fairy and we found a photo and Samantha recreated for me.
Here is the inspiration from a website called Dorotamua there are amazing ideas on there!!
There is a ton of makeup on me in these photos and it is all about shading..we used fake snow and attached it with eyelash glue.
Samantha also did this intense looking makeup job too! Should I do the more dramatic scary looking lady or the white fairy lady?

My daughter Emily wanted to be a deer after she saw this video DEER makeup video of how to create this look and Samantha totally recreated it perfectly!!

Here is Emily and Samantha and some friends all dressed up for their Halloween party they went to on Saturday night.
Jacob who is in the middle did not want any part of the make-up so we got my big hairy spider and put it on him and called him "Spider-man" hahaha
Halloween is too much fun!

Do you like my blue suede shoes? They are not really suede...I don't really know what they are made of but they look cool!
I have always loved colorful shoes! I remember when I was in elememtary school and my mom bought me some sneakers...I got two pair...one was yellow and one was pink! Loved them! 
My mom just reminded me of another story that began my affinity for colorful shoes....I was only 18 mos old and Santa Claus brought a pair of patent leather red shoes! When I opened the box I grabbed them and held them up to my heart and exclaimed "OH MY PITTY WED SHOES" and that began my love affair with colorful shoe!
Pretty much I love bright colored clothes, bright colored walls, rugs, dish towels pretty much everything hahaha isn't this necklace adorable? My cute sister makes these..I will have to get her to list some in my etsy shop soon they are so fun to wear.
My yellow banana pants are from banana outlet. I can't remember where I bought the shoes...sorry about that.
