I just needed to post about my precious granddaughter Ella.
I found this strawberry hat and put it on her.
It is hard living far away.... I miss this little puff so much!
Four Generations right here in this picture.
Madeline, Me holding Ella and my mom (great grandma Joan)Madeline is just a beautiful mom in every way. And Peter is so precious with his little girl.
Grandpa can't get enough of this little bundle sent from above.
Ella was blessed the first week in April...while we were out there visiting and we had an incredible time with all the family. Peter's parents Mike and Kelly were so gracious to host many family get-together's at their home.
Cute Ella in her puffy Easter bunny slippers. They are almost bigger than she is! Proud Grandpa with his little granddaughter.
I just
can't get over her slippers.
(from great grandma Joan)
The other night my hubby and I grilled some Tuna steaks (from super Target) and topped them with an amazing mango/pineapple salsa!
(Recipe by: Bobby Flay) We also grilled some fresh asparagus that were seasoned with salt and pepper and a little bit of olive oil.... Then we also grilled some Yams that I brushed with butter and brown sugar. Plus we also had a spinach salad with fresh pears, candied almonds and craisins with a raspberry vinaigrette. Deeeelish!
I have been away visiting my family. It was so fun being with all of them again. The best part was of course my cute little granddaughter Ella. I just can't stop giving her millions of kisses and squeezes.....It is always hard coming back home to my regular life of quietness...I miss my family :(
Since I have been in alittle funk I decided I needed some colorful fun inspiration to motivate me for spring and summer so here is what I have found.
A beautiful colorful striped umbrella from Pottery Barn (I think)
I absolutely love these hurricane lamps and look at what they did...they added fresh flowers to surround the candle. How simple and yet so beautiful. I am feeling like I am on vacation already! I found some white ones last year at Ikea for 10 bucks!! I can't wait to dress them up with some springtime flowers.
Ahhh Spring is upon us and summer is right behind. Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Graduation, Fathers Day, camping, 4th of July, August and my baby leaves to go to college. I will be an empty nester............ How can that be when I am only 29 years old. Ha Ha
What are you doing to welcome in spring and summer this year?
How about this porch with a view of the beach? I love the hanging lights and the green sofa I love love love this look~
Ahh bouganvillias (I don't know how to spell it) Beautiful pink flowering bushes
