No Sew Recycled T-shirt covered Pumpkin craft
This is so fast and easy and you can use T-shirts from the thrift store or your own closet!
You could make a bunch for your Thanksgiving Tablescape within minutes!
Items Needed-
Faux pumpkins from the dollar store
Old T-shirts in falls colors
Real stems from small pumpkins
Hot Glue
Step 1- Get Fall T-shirt and Faux Pumpkins
Find an old somewhat stretchy T-shirt in fall colors and some faux pumpkins.
You can shop your closet or go to a thrift store or garage sale to find the colors you are looking for.
I found this one at a thrift store and loved the colors and the print.
Step 2- Remove the Stem
Remove the stem from the faux pumpkin and enlarge the opening just a little bit.
These pumpkins are made out of foam so I just used my finger to kind of open it up a little bit.
Step 3 Cut t-shirt to have one large piece
Cut out one side of the T-shirt so that it will lay flat and there are no seams.
Place Pumpkin in the center of the T-shirt
Step 4- Begin to stuff the t-shirt into pumpkin
Begin to pull up the edges and stuff into the center of the pumpkin where you enlarged the hole.
As you do this make little pleats as you go to give it a textured look.
Step 5 Finish stuffing the t-shirt into the pumpkin
Continue this process until it is all stuffed into the center opening.
You can fiddle with it a little bit to make sure the pleats look nice and even but this does not have to be perfect at all!
If there are short ends, just make sure to overlap the longer pieces over the shorter ends to hold it in place.
Step 6- Add real pumpkin stem
I found this stem at a pumpkin patch just laying on the ground an knew it would be perfect for my little recycled t-shirt covered pumpkin craft!
Attach the pumpkin stem with hot glue and bam you are done!
Decorating Ideas
You could make a bunch of these and use them as a centerpiece for your Thanksgiving Table!
Place them around in wooden bowls or baskets and add in some orange bottle brush trees for a cute look.
Everyone who has come into my house has asked me if this was hand painted!
It really turned out so cute!

Creative Ways to Use Christmas Wreath

I love thinking of ways to use Christmas decorations in multiple ways to get more bang for my buck. Today I am sharing creative ways to use a Christmas Wreath.
This Nearly Natural olive leaf wreath with olives and red berries is absolutely perfect for any area in your home.
I love the look olive leaves for a few reasons
We have spent time in Italy over the last couple of years and we walked through many olive tree orchards and this brings back such sweet memories.
We also own an Italian palace over there and we are in the process of restoring it!
When I saw this Olive leaf wreath I just had to have it!
The branches of this Olive leaf wreath are very realistic looking to me as are the little olives and red berries. I really wanted a light and airy look and this wreath really hit the mark for me.
Some wreaths out there are a little too stiff and thick and this just has a more natural look and feel to it. Nearly Natural has a huge selection of all kinds of beautiful wreaths, garlands and Christmas trees!
Hot Chocolate Bar Surrounded By A Christmas Wreath
Create a Hot Chocolate bar surrounded by a Christmas wreath. I placed the Olive leaf wreath in the middle of the table and added a footed cake stand to the center of the wreath.
You could use a white or a more natural looking cake stand or even a red cake stand. I tried white and a natural stand. I liked both of them against the green olive leaves on the wreath.
On top of the cake stand I displayed some Hot chocolate goodies!
In a tall slender glass vase I added fluffy white marshmallows for easy grabbing.
I put my hot chocolate mix in a cute shaped bottle that is easy to pour into mugs.
Two small bowls with Christmas sprinkles that have small silver mini sized spoons in them.
One glass filled with peppermint sticks to use as stirrers for the hot chocolate.
Hang Christmas Wreath On A Large Chalkboard
In our dining room that you might remember we recently updated, I have a large chalkboard hanging above my sideboard.
It is the perfect place to write out the menu if I am having a dinner party, writing Happy Birthday, Happy Valentine's day or to hang a Christmas wreath!
Using my chalkboard like this sets the tone for whatever we are celebrating at the time.
I simply tied the Olive leaf wreath with a darling black and white striped ribbon and hung the wreath at the top of the chalkboard.
I had my daughter write Happy Holidays curved underneath the wreath on the chalkboard.
I. LOVE. IT.
The black chalkboard really allows the leaves, olives and red berries to stand out!
Using Olive Leave Wreath as a Centerpiece
In my dining room you might remember we added a new planked top to an old antique table that we have had in our family for many years. With this new addition this table is nice and long and I can seat all the family around it.
I love to create centerpieces that are pretty and that everyone can see over.
There is nothing worse than having a huge centerpiece that blocks the view of the people sitting across from you.
My Olive leaf Christmas wreath is perfect because it sits low in the center of the table but adds the perfect Christmas touch.
By adding a red footed cake stand and flanking it on either side with clear hurricane vases it is not only beautiful but functional.
I think I will probably add lots of different heights of candles to the cake stand so that the whole room will be lit up with glowing candles.
Hanging Wreath On Front Door
Of course how could I not show this beautiful Olive Leaf red berry wreath on my front door! It is the natural place for any wreath to be displayed.
Adding the black and white striped ribbon and hanging it below the glass panes against my white door has got to be my favorite decoration of all time!
Light and airy and pretty! How could you want anything more?

The Colors Of Fall Outdoor Tablescape

Hello my friends! Today over on Karins Kottage I am sharing The colors of Fall Outdoor Tablescape!
I am trying to squeeze out the last few warm nights of autumn by dining outdoors. It was a spectacular night, the temps were just right, no wind and gorgeous fall leaves.
For the centerpiece I clipped twigs and flowers from my backyard bushes and that set the tone for color palette along with using my bright yellow and white striped throw!
I wish fall would last a few months longer....It really looked amazing!

Hi everyone I just wanted to let you know that I have two new posts on my Karins Kottage blog all about Coastal Christmas crafts that are super easy and cheap to make! The Coastal Christmas wreath is made using a recycled pine wreath, sea shells and something unusual that I haven't used in craft making! Cotton Piping!! Yep and it is super cheap too!
The other two crafts are Napkin rings and darling place card holders! I share links where to but the crafting supplies that are cheap!
Super easy to make and would make fabulous Christmas gifts too!
