Posted with BlogsyWe have a local Farmers Market very close to our home and I love it!
They recently added on and it looks amazing inside!
There was lots of great produce to choose from
Their corn is so sweet and delicious!
We grabbed some of their enormous green peppers! I wish I could grow green peppers that big!
Fresh green beans are just so delicious sautéed with a little bacon and onions...mmmmm good
I was so excited to grab 4 bundles of their dried cornstalks to decorate my front porch
My hubby.....was not too excited to put them in the car...they crumble easy and get everywhere. He said, "why are we paying for the farmers garbage"? I said, "oh hun....it will look so cute on the porch and we are supporting the farmer by purchasing any of his goods" Hubby- "grumble grumble" but he put them in the car and he helped me decorate the porch...pictures to come.
He is so awesome :)

Fashion Friday- Just Being At Home Casual

Today I am just spending the day at home working on my blogs and trying to learn about things like SEO, how to use social media to my advantage instead of IT taking advantage of me and learning from other great bloggers how to write better.
This is my spot on the sofa...next to the armrest with my feet up on the coffee table and the ipad on my lap, I also have my laptop computer sitting on the arm of the sofa and my cell phone next to me...crazy isn't it??? I have found the laptop can do certain things faster than my iPad, probably because I can type faster on a regular key board...who knew that my weird high school typing teacher would have taught me such a valuable skill...typing!!
See that cute 3- tiered metal thingy (I never know what to call it!) it's the one I told all of you about from Pick Your Plum I love that thing! I'm putting some fall ideas together to share with all ya Y'all's!
I am all about casual today- I bought this cotton button down shirt from Old Navy...as well as the super cute and comfortable black and white hounds tooth pants that I blogged about...I was soooo surprised at how great they fit and how comfy they are! I will wear that outfit as soon as it cools off here and show you!
These are the red knee length shorts I told you about from Downeast Basics hands down the most comfortable because of a little spandex in them! Whoever invented spandex is totally my hero!!
Well I guess I should get back to my "studies" you know I gotta learn all about SEO or whoops maybe I've been studying SOO Seek Out Outfits or SOF Seek Out Food...oh but there is no doubt about it...... I'm "studying"! :)

Lemon Blueberry Cottage Cheese Pancakes!

I am trying to find recipes with more protein these days because I've been keeping track of what I eat with the app called my fitness pal and it shows that I eat too many carbs and not enough protein but I. Love. Carbs. How to find foods I like with added protein? I had a hankering for some blueberry pancakes this morning so I did a search for pancakes with cottage cheese and found this one from unfussypicure blog and decided to try it out! DEELICIOUS!!! Really Really good!
It makes a funky batter because there is 1 cup of cottage cheese, 2/3 cup Greek yogurt, 2 eggs, 1 TB melted butter, very little flour only 5 TBS, 1 TBS sugar, and a 1 Tbs lemon juice, lemon peel and a pinch of salt and 1 cup of blueberries that you hand place in the pancakes. I had to add a bit more flour but even still....
They were hard to flip :( I think my cottage cheese was too runny and too big of curds.
Plus my blueberries were huge too! But im telling you they taste sooooo good..a little tangy mixed with sweetness...they kind of reminded me of a blintz.
I tried turning down the heat on the back burners but they did not get that golden color like the ones in the front. I think I just needed to add more flour.
Even though they were hard to flip they were soooo worth making! My hubby LOOOVED them too! I am going to make these again!
Try them out and let me know if you get them to flip easier.

So many peaches...my cute friend Amber who dropped off a bag of fresh peaches on my door step must have given me like 50 peaches! It has been so wonderful to use them in so many different ways this week. Sunday we were having a crowd over for dinner and so why not try out a new recipe?!
