Welcome to Centerpiece Wednesday where everyone shares what has been the centerpiece of their week! It could be a craft, a recipe, a DIY project or ....of course a beautiful or unique centerpiece.
This week I am highlighting this absolutely amazing Halloween decorated house by Phyllis around the house! It is jaw dropping (no pun intended) when you look at all her cute Halloween ideas, amazing details and read the hysterical story all about her house guests.. Agatha, Andrew and the twins!! LOL

Posted with BlogsyCan I just tell you how much I love white slipcovers? I have always wanted white slipcovers and I bought an Ikea sofa and 2 chairs with the slipcovers and I love love love the fact that I can whip them off and throw them into the washing machine and they come out clean and smelling fresh!
You can't do that with an upholstered piece of furniture.
With as many people as I have coming through my house...all the time.....including lots of family..many teenagers, little grandkids, friends, neighbors, lots of youth from church..these slipcovers handle it perfectly! I even bought 2 of the white slipcovers for the sofa because they were so cheap...$89.00!!
The picture below is of my sofa that has the darling pillow with the no. 3 on it...my sister made it for me (it represents how many grandkids we have).
The rug is from pier one and I just love the bright bold color and pattern,
it just says fun :)

I have seen these little velvet punkins everywhere and decided to whip up a few...I am lazy when it comes to crafting so the easier the better and let me tell ya this is the easiest DIY ever! I found this gold velvet fabric at a garage sale a year or so ago for like $2.00 or $3.00 so I dug it out of my pile of scraps and made some.
Soooooo I actually did this 2 different ways and when you look at them at the end you really can't tell the difference. First way....I took a square of fabric and ran a long gathering stitch all the way around in a circle (not perfectly by any stretch of the imagination)
I pulled the threads to gather up all the fabric and left a pretty big opening.
I filled the opening with batting and then scrunched it up and tied it with some ribbon...done!!
The second way I made them is the NO SEW way! Take your square of fabric grab some batting...plop it in the middle and gather up the fabric and cinch it with a rubber band! Add ribbon or raffia. The punkin pictured on the left is the no sew and the one on the right is the sewn one (I used a little bit bigger piece of fabric so it made a larger Punkin).
Here is one of the Punkins on my fall table. I left the edges raw and it looks rustic and fun.

I am so excited to introduce you to Linsey from The Farmhouse Porch! I just love her style and her blog and I know you will too!
Howdy Readers! And Howdy to Karin of The Style Sisters blog!
Thank you so much for allowing me to come share a few thoughts and photos today with all of your followers.
My name is Linsey and you can find me over at The Farmhouse Porch I am so glad I was asked to talk about my dining room because it is one of the rooms in which I spend the most time. You're probably scratching your head right about now, wondering if we eat 3 formal meals a day in here, royal family style. I'm ashamed to admit that we rarely eat in here. This room has become my "Display Cool stuff and do crafts at the big farm table" room.
My dining room is located just under the loft, right in the middle of all of the action in our house. So from here I can do what moms do best...multitask. I can monitor the kids fighting, smell the dinner burning, and here the puppy ripping up my country living magazine...all while I blissfully craft away (or fold laundry, or paint...).
I like modern farmhouse style. I love chippy painted wood and crusty zinc-y metal. Linen and rustic fabrics. Beat up baskets and tea stained dishes.
And Jadeite!
I just can't get enough! This is my old apple crate in the other corner. And I'm constantly shakin' things up in here. Every time I post pictures of my dining room things are different. It's my vintage playground. Thanks for coming to play!

Happy Fall! I know it isn't really fall yet but I have been inspired by everyone out in blog world to do something fall-ish...it is raining today and the temperatures have dropped ....it feels like a fall day so I created a
Fall Tablescape.
My dining room normally is blue and white you can see it HERE no orange but for fall I decided to change it up a bit. I started with some burlap to cover up my makeshift particle board "table leaf" oh it is so pretty and layered it with this fun orange and cream print...I will show you my lovely uglier than mud particle board "table leaf" section in the coming days and what I do to cover it up.
I had this creamy crackle vase and bought some curly twigs and orange berry vines and plopped them in it for an airy look.
Since I normally have only blue and white in my dining room... I decided to changed the blue and white fabric on the chairs to orange and white...I will show you this simple DIY no sew treatment that can change a chair in minutes tomorrow on the blog.
I Found these cool rusty metal thinga-ma-bobs at michaels and thought they would give a "manly" touch to the table.
These blingy nubbins are for the ladies...pier one on clearance...oh yeah!!

So....my mom and sis know how much I love to entertain and tablescape and they bought me these little wire pumpkin place card holders! Presh!
Wish I could find more of these rusty metal thinga-ma-bobs..remember I used them in this "A little bit country A little bit elegant" tablescape HERE
For the centerpiece mishmash I just added lots of different kinds of pumpkins in different textures ...faux plastic, twiggy, jeweled and some cute velvet ones I just made. I Will have a quick and easy "tute" on how to make them next week.
My daughter...Madeline left these cool rusty metal lanterns when she moved away and they work perfectly on the table.
I'm thinkin about making burlap skirt covers for the chair seats..whaddya think?
I love adding framed photos of the family in fall leaves to this "scape"...it brings back sweet memories.
