Under Da Sea Tablescape Part 2 and Thrift Store Shopping
This is the other side of my dinning room..here is my lovely sideboard or buffet if you will...I bought this "dresser" at a thrift store a few years ago...I paid a whopping $25.00! Yep it was a deal!
This mirror was also purchased at a consignment shop in Salt Lake I think I paid $70.00 dollars for it
The original finish was silver to begin with so I painted it black and wiped off some it to leave some of the silver showing through. These gorgeous hydrangeas are silk and were used at my daughters wedding almost 5 years ago!! I bought them at Tuesday Morning and they really are beautiful.

My chandelier is really one of my most favorite pieces...also from a consignment shop in Salt Lake.
The wall art is something I purchased at two different stores and they are made of some sort of canvas material...I think they really make the room feel taller and bring in more of the black throughout the room.
Notice the bamboo blinds? I bought these for all the windows in the house from Lowe's and I only paid...are you ready....$5.00 to $10.00 a piece!! Seriously the best deal I have ever found!! They make the house!
Here again is my cheap O way of making my beige Parson chairs work in the room by tucking in leftover fabric into the seat and draping it up and over and cinching it with pipping rope and a sea shell napkin ring.
Full look of my Tablescape...does it make you want to come to dinner tonight?!
Hope you have all enjoyed Under Da Sea tablescape! Make sure you pop on over to eatlotsachocolate.blogspot.com and order up some of these delicious chocolates for your next dinner party. These are also perfect for wedding favors too! |

Your dining room is sooo pretty! The colors are so yummy and the black accents make the most beautiful contrast.

I just love the colors in the room, especially the wall color and the black accents. Everything looks so pretty and new! Fun table. I started at Eat Lots...
ReplyDeleteand hopped over to see your table. It looks so great.
What a bunch of wonderful deals too! Fabulous.
What good buys! You are a good thrifter! And what a pretty table. And, I, too, love your chandelier!
ReplyDeleteI just visited your Mom's blog a few minutes ago. I want to order some of the chocolate sea shells, but not until it gets closer to June when I plan to use them. They really look cool, and I'm sure our guests will be wowed by them! They look great on your cool seafaring table!!! I really like the fabric treatment over the Parsons chairs, too. I have them in our dining room, and I am always looking for something to make them look...different. Kind of hard to do since they have a pattern, but I might be able to play with this idea. Thanks! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful. Love your style. We like to remodel and redecorate our homes, so I'm your newest follower. It's so nice to meet you and I look forward to learning new things from you.

I saw you featured at Under the Table and Dreaming- I just love this room. The pop of black makes that wall, I think. I live in UT- mind telling me which two shops you got the wall hangings from? I am in love!
