Blue and White Tablescape
I love using blue and white for a tablescape..it has a nautical feel when you add a few items from the sea.
I love this blue and white tablescape it is so simple and yet elegant.
I used my white lantern from Ikea ($10.00 a few years ago) filled with seashells.
I wanted to raise up my white dishes on a pedestal. I don't own a white one but I do own....
this white footed bowl. I simply turned it upside down and it made the
perfect pedestal!
How cool is that! I love how it looks upside down.
Multi use! I love it!
I grabbed this garden decoration thing a ma bob from out of my office shelving and plopped it next to the lantern for a fun weathered look.
I love how my white napkin rings look so beautiful against the blue and white napkins and this gorgeous star fish!
Here you can see the bottom of the lantern filled with sea shells and the base of the garden thingy.
So pretty for a centerpiece on a buffet table.

Since I had two daughters and no sons this is very exciting for our whole family!

Black and White with a little punch of hot pink!
The tablecloth is fabric from Walmart! I like using unusual things like frames on the table.
Le Poulet (The Chicken).
I used my white dinner plates from Ikea once again and my black and white "Toile" plates on top. (Toile means cloth) Notice my white napkins spruced with my pink napkin rings!
Do you love or what!
Again I am using my dollar store finds! These little black tea-light holders are fabulous on any table..remember I also used them in Beachy tablescape HERE
I love how my plain glassware just sparkles on the table and how everything looks so European up against the brick walls.
Isn't it interesting how when you use a glass dome and place something very simple underneath it...that simple little item becomes something magnificent. I used a clear glass cake plate to elevate it and give it even more prominence on the table.
I don't have enough of the black and white Toile salad plates so I used these white salad plates that have words on them. The whites don't even match but I think it all came together.
Ahhhh...it just says spring doesn't it. Look at the blue sky with white puffy clouds in the back! I think these colors and ideas would work perfectly for a Mother's Day Lunch or even a wedding reception..don't you think?
Okay...a little secret...see those black charger plates sitting underneath the white dinner plate? They are actually gold and red chargers...I just flipped them upside down!! How cool is that! No money spent here!
Bon Appetite!
I also used some other odds and ends from around the house. The white rooster and the tall black wooden thinga ma bobs to add some height and drama.MOTHER'S DAY ORANGE AND LIME GREEN
I found this fun colorful fabric at Hobby Lobby and whipped up four napkins in no time! I cut out at 20"square and made a small hem on each side and VOILA!
I really like the napkin on the plain white plate as much as I do with the added lime green bowls!
Simple, Casual and yet festive all at the same time!2 ENTRIES FACEBOOK AND TWITTER

I used my dark brown placemats for texture and color so the white plate would pop!
My bushes have started to flower!
Do you see those cute black tea light candle holders? $1.00 a piece at the dollar store!
In these photos I have used my Ikea White dinner plates $2.75 each and my water goblets from Target. My beautiful white napkin rings! One lucky winner will win a set of 4!
I really love these soft colors together.
Here is another shot of those cute black tea light holders!
So then I decide to set the patio table for four. I got out my metal white lantern that I bought from Ikea $10.00 a few years ago and filled it with sea shells and a large white candle.
Here is a close up of my sea shells...aahhh can't you just hear the ocean and feel the breeze?
I used a different dinner plate for this tablescape. I bought these at Tai Pan in Salt Lake and love the little scroll work on them. I think they look perfect with these salad plates. I folded the napkins into a long skinny strip and then folded them into each other and added the napkin ring so it looks like a bow tie!
I love this cute lantern. It usually sits on my fireplace mantel.
A shot looking over the pool...but I am pretending it is the beach!
