Tortuga Cake Tutorial
Do you remember my grandson's Wild Kratt's Jungle Birthday extravaganza?
It was a fabulous birthday party filled with all kinds of amazing decorations, games and a super cool looking Tortuga cake!
My daughter Emily baked the main part of the cake in oven safe domed bowl so it would take on the shape of a turtle. Then she also made some cupcakes that would be the legs and head of the turtle. Simply remove the paper liners and frost.
Emily made a buttercream frosting and tinted part of it light green and the other dark green and piped the dark for the definitions of the turtle shell.
He was one happy "Wild Kratt" :)
We took so many pictures of this birthday party I think I need to make a fun jungle theme photo book on Shutterfly with all these pics so he can remember this special birthday for years to come!
