This is my Memorial Day wreath I have hanging on my front door.
From Wikipedia: Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday which occurs every year on the final Monday of May. Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Formerly known as Decoration Day, it originated after the American Civil War to commemorate the Union and Confederate soldiers who died in the Civil War. By the 20th century, Memorial Day had been extended to honor all Americans who have died while in the military service. It typically marks the start of the summer vacation season, while Labor Day marks its end.
I had my hubby and daughter hang this huge bunting up high on our house today.
I love flying the red white and blue to show my gratitude for all those who came before me that allow all of us the freedoms we enjoy today!
I am Karin and my hubby and I are empty nesters that never have an empty nest! We have family, friends and acquaintances that come and stay with us often! It is a joy to have them here in our home and I enjoy cooking for them and making them feel special.
There is nothing better than spending time with my hubby and my family laughing, shopping, beaching, cooking as well as my other passion creating new looks for rooms in my house!
