What is coastal grandmother style? 

You may be asking yourself what the heck is coastal grandmother style? If you haven't heard about it I am here to give you my take on it. It is right up my alley even though I don't live by the beach right now. 

Do you remember the movie "Somethings Gotta Give" with Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson? The house in that movie and the clothing style of Diane Keaton are what is now known as coastal grandmother style.

I am a big fan! The phrase was coined by Lex Nicoleta a tiktok personality. 

The color palette is normally blue, white and some yellow but I really think pink should be included too! 

Coastal grandmother tablescape idea

I created a coastal grandmother tablescape using some thrift store rose themed napkins, white dinner plates, a big bouquet of pink roses, white lacy looking placemats, votive candles and of course sea shells!

I actually did it twice! Once indoors in my dining room that you can see below. The other was done outside on my patio. Wait until you see how it looked when the sun went down!

 5 Ways to style girlfriend jeans

I put together some fun ways of how to style girlfriend jeans. 

Girlfriend jeans are super comfy because they are cut a little roomier through the hips and thighs. 

I really like these jeans because the hem hits right around the ankle and are tapered a little through the leg and ankle. 

Flowy blouse

I think flowy blouses that are tucked in a little bit create a pretty look. Plus it lets you show off a nice looking belt. 

If I wore the blouse untucked it would look "old ladyish" especially because I am short waisted. The top would hang down in a block not long enough to be a tunic and not short enough to look stylish so the tuck is the answer
