ROBIN'S EGG BLUE AND BLACK AND WHITE BEDROOM
As you all know I was gone for a week at Girl's Camp and while I was away my hubby surprised me by painting our bedroom to match our bathroom!! Oh yea!! I was thrilled when I opened up the door to our bedroom and saw the beautiful robin's egg blue covering all our walls. He is one amazing man I must say! I love surprises like that. He did the guest bathroom about a year ago and surprised me with that too. I tried to to surprise him by painting our bathroom but as you may remember I threw my back out and couldn't finish it so he ended up having to do it. He did a good "while you were out" for me. Now I just have to decide what I want to put above our bed. I used to have lots of family photos there but I want a more clean look. I think I will put the photos on the other side of our bedroom around the armoire and maybe just one large black and white photo above our bed. I will keep you posted. I have attached before and after pics.
This is the before that had yellow walls and lots of photos above our bed. I did like this look too but I think I want just one thing above my bed this time.
I also found this photo....this was the before, before picture. This looks more country to me but I liked it too. Yes I know what you are all thinking...she changes things all the time. Yep...I do.... but for very little money! 1 gallon paint for the bedroom, my mom gave me the black and white comforter cover in the above pics, the flowy white curtains and rods were from Ikea (CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP), Spray painted the furniture black and cheap black frames from Walmart! This year instead of 
they learned how to do archery...(I bagged a moose target with my bow and arrow...who knew I had Robin Hood's blood in me),
(This is a picture of one of girls that had good form doing archery), the Young Women learned about first aid, sterilizing water, what to do if you get lost in the woods, CPR, they also learned unity by learning how to work together as a team by going through a ropes
course, the girls had fun playing sports like water baseball (the bases were small wading pools and home base was a slip and slide), and a unique volleyball game where there are four sections and four teams trying to not let the ball land on the ground. They also had the opportunity to do some quilting and make some crafts.
The best part of camp is the spiritual devotionals where we have a speaker who speaks to the girls about the theme of camp. This years theme was "Rise up, Stand firm, Shine on". We read from the Bible and The Book of Mormon, pondered and prayed about these things, shared our feelings and thoughts with one another and finally there was an opportunity to bear testimony of what we have found to be true. We, the leaders and the girls came away from this experience with new friends, a stronger commitment to stand strong, gained knowledge in many areas, and best of all fun sweet memories. 
The brides colors were blue and brown, the little flower girl was just gorgeous in her handmade blue satin dress with a brown sash tied at the side. It was just a lovely evening and a beautiful bride.

There is just something special about live music that brings people together like nothing else. The last song of the night was a great oldie song "Love Train" ...and pretty soon everyone gathered into a train connecting one person to another...it was huge! People of every different race, men, women, children, mentally challenged people, old and young people, people in all different shapes and sizes.... all connected to each other with smiles on every face.....It was magical and beautiful...and I got choked up....and thought to myself....If this could only happen to everyone everywhere.....peace, acceptance, joy and happiness amongst all people. :)
I got almost all done......... and then....I threw my back out! My hubby loved it and finished it for me. We just simply painted two coats of Behr paint (which we love love love) from Home Depot. We did not prime it, or do anything else to the wall paper...except glue any loose areas where the wallpaper was coming up.
