Bird's Eye View Tablescape and Centerpiece Wednesday
By The Style Sisters - Wednesday, March 28, 2012
Here is my version of a "Bird's Eye View" Tablescape
My white Rooster sits in the center of the table keeping an eye on his chicks.
I found these darling chick plates while living in Texas about a year ago at a store called
Swoosie's. It was a really cute shop filled with lots of fun things and among some of their items
they had these little salad plates. Unfortunately Swoosies was closing their doors but fortunately for me
I got them for $2.00 a piece!
Here is my rooster centerpiece
He is nestled among what my husband calls " great balls of shrubbery" and some faux Easter eggs.
I love these huge yellow plates that I purchased forever ago at Williams Sonoma outlet in Las Vegas. I am somewhat sad about them as one broke when we moved from Texas to Utah so I only have 3 left now!
Here is the little French Egg holder waiting for some eggs.
I filled it with some hard boiled white eggs for breakfast
Just a simple tablescape with a simple Centerpiece.
I love stacking plates using lots of colors and fun designs.
I also love adding a little bit of texture underneath with the
woven placemat just for fun.

Enjoy!!

EASTER TABLESCAPE AND CENTERPIECE WEDNESDAY
By The Style Sisters - Wednesday, March 21, 2012
CENTERPIECE WEDNESDAY IS LATE BUT I THINK WORTH THE WAIT!
My cute mom and daughter all pitched in on creating this tablescape and I love love love it!
My mom supplied the amazing chocolates and candies!
Don't you just love the colors of spring!! Pinks, yellows, greens! For our centerpiece we created it using a white footed bowl filled with multi-colored shredded paper grasses and then we layered it with sone of my mom's Easter egg boxes that can be filled with many of her treats...and yellow and green faux eggs and one of my mom's mini pink Easter boxes filled with pastel colored almond dragee's.
Underneath the white footed bowl you will see the gorgeous tissue paper flowers that we made. We also used them in the Pink Princess Party for my granddaughter...you can see that tablescape HERE. Another fun thing we used is an old tablecloth my mom bought at a yard sale years ago.
We included the rooster in this tablescape and made him stand a little taller by placing him on clear cake plate that has some moss attached on it.
In mini Martini glasses we used shredded white paper layered with some of mom's pastel almond dragee's...ooh I love those little nuggets! But Check out the BUNNY EARS! Mom created these little treats...skinny pretzels, sweet melt in your mouth caramel all dipped in chocolate and drizzled with whit chocolate.
In this glass apothecary jar we placed some of mom's mini Easter boxes that are filled with pastel colored almond dragee's.
I love this little french egg holder! I can't wait to dye some eggs with my grandkids and put them in here.
Oh and the little crown votive candle holders are available now on my shop page
I can't get enough of the tissue paper flowers!!
Those BUNNY EARS are seriously the cutest thing ever!!
Madeline had made some brownie cups and we plopped in some yummy dragee's to make it look like a mini Easter basket!
Here are those darling Easter boxes!
Mom fills them with chocolate turtles in your choice of milk, semi-sweet or white and your choice of nuts, pecan, almond or cashews.

no no little birdies ....these chocolates are for my guests ha ha
Here are mom's turtles!! Did I ever tell you my mom used to supply chocolates to many of the Marriot hotels in Southern California! As well as Nordstrom's and a many specialty grocery stores in Los Angeles, San Diego and Newport Beach.
Chocolate is her thing!!
Are you dying over the little bunny dishes!!
Filled with Pastel almond dragee's or Chocolate Toffee almonds or Dark Chocolate truffle almonds!!
Here is our Easter table in it's splendor!
