DIY country wedding - Centerpiece Wednesday

My niece got married last Saturday and the decor for the reception was adorable..I just had to share it with all of you for Centerpiece Wednesday. Her theme was country...she used sunflowers, mason jars, burlap and lace. For the food they did a dessert bar along with a candy and popcorn bar!

Country Western Tablescape: Ralph Lauren meets Audrey Hepburn

This tablescape makes me think this is what dinner would be like if you combined

Audrey Hepburn and Ralph Lauren....a little elegance and a little rustic....

Ele-Gustic!! My new word hahah

I was actually going for the "Farm Chicks" look..you know those cute gals that have a cookbook, fun apparel and home decor?

I love this Robin's egg blue color or maybe I should call it "Tiffany" Blue for Audrey :) mixed with red and pink. I used my dollar store grapevine wreaths as chargers and tucked in some colorful greenery ~~(I roamed all over~~ ~~my ranch looking for the perfect posies to use)~~ I looked in all my craft boxes and happened to find these little nuggets to tuck in the wreaths.

I did not have enough of the "Tiffany" blue salad plates to use so I mixed it up by using some of my (~~really expensive antique red floral salad plates)~~ actually my old restaurant cast off luncheon plates that my mom gave me that

I LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Have you noticed my napkin rings yet? Old Ralph would probably have a coronary if he sees these...I cut up leather belts and turned them into napkin rings!!! So dang cute if I do say so myself :)

I had to have a picture with my chandy showing all the fun below.

I used my denim silverware holders to hold the napkins and slid the lether belt napkin rings over the top. Accessorizing girls! How fun is this! Ralph and Audrey would be all over this...I can see it now ...on the tablescape runway....hahaha

I only needed a short part of the leather belt with the buckle on it to make one napkin ring and I had all this left over leather so I cut it into small pieces and hot glued them into a circle and added some "Audrey" to it in the form of a button. (My grandaughter who is 3 saw this at her placesetting and pulled (yanked) hers apart and decided it would be a nice choker necklace ....she then grabbed a thing of tape and had her Aunt Emily tape it together) Creative girl hahaha

Stacked plates...I love how this looks but the men in our family keep asking why I have to have all the plates? Silly men...it is for looks!

At first I had light pink bowls on the table but it just didn't pop for me...luckily I remembered I had these (~~super nice pottery barn cranberry bowls that cost a fortune)~~ Garden Ridge .25 cents each bowls I bought when I lived in Texas!

4th of july Tablescapes

Happy 4th of July! and a Denim Tablescape!

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Welcome to Centerpiece Wednesday!

Hope you will enjoy my denim tablescape that highlights the Red, White and Blue!

I used my red chargers with white plates and white plates with black writing. I have also used my denim silverware holders laying aside the white napkins.

Isn't this adorable! It makes my Red Christmas cake plate pop with the denim waistband wrapped around the edges giving it a whole new look!

I will be serving different BBQ sauces in these little votive candle holders,

Here is a look at the whole including my denim chair sashes...they really add that extra little touch!

These Sashes would be adorable for a wedding reception or wedding luncheon...adding whatever color flower and ribbon to them to fit the theme.

Here is my centerpiece...I used a large tin bucket and filled it with red white and blue flowers and stuck in some large American flags for drama!

I created a new napkin ring....using denim flower background and a red flower..I will be attaching these onto ribbon to wrap around napkins.

I love the way it looks!

It adds a fun look sitting next to the denim silverware pockets don't you think?

I found these fun red plastic baskets on clearance at Wal-mart! I am going to use it to serve rolls or french fries for each guest. My runners are made from denim jeans...I hope to be able to make all of these things available for sale right here on my blog!

They would look great for a country or western party or wedding!
