Hello everyone and welcome to my Red, Black and White Valentine tablescape and
Centerpiece Wednesday where you can share anything that has been the centerpiece of your week!
I created this using some really cute placemats that my sister made for me..
I love the black and white print don't you?
I think adding this red and white unique silverware to the red white and black Valentine tablescape makes it look better than my boring everyday stuff...I am thinking I might need some more colorful silverware. Do any of you have colorful sets? I have used this silverware here and here.
Doesn't everything look better under a chandelier? Heheh

Welcome to Centerpiece Wednesday a little early :)
I decided to create a unique Tablescape using my French Eiffel tower plates that I bought while traveling in Chicago.....I mixed them with my black and white toile plates and my new red melamine toile plates from target (1.00 each)! I played around with all kinds of centerpiece ideas and with the help of my cute mom we finally came up with this somewhat Asian flair looking centerpiece. My cute hubby came home with these beautiful orchids and I had this metal plant holder and we plopped the orchids in it and it worked perfectly.
To bring in some more red color into this tablescape we placed apples inside this airy looking dome...I love how it looks.
Here is a close up of the red melamine plates...they really look like they are made from pottery not plastic don't you think? We decided to use some white sea shells in this Tablescape and placed them on top of the red plates.....did you know you can bake in these shells? Or you could serve a shrimp cocktail in them or how abou a mini salad for an appetzier! You can purchase shells from my mom on her blog eatlotsachocolate.blogspot.com
The beautiful orchids close up!
My sister Tiffany over at thechildrensnest.blogspot.com made me these black and white toile placemats a couple of years ago for Christmas...they are perfect!
I love how black and white always works for any tablescape!
Look closely and you can see some chocolate sea shells! These are gorgeous Belgian chocolates made with a hazelnut filling.
You can purchase these from my mom's blog eatlotsachocolate.blogspot.com they are only 1.00 each .....packaged in a real seashell.
I removed the other plates so you can see the Eiffel tower ....I bought them from a cute store called Posh Chicago.
These Scrumptious and elegant Belgian sea shell chocolates melt in your mouth and your guests will be amazed at how beautiful they look on their plates!

My daughter and I have been very busy creating these fantastic Halloween banners. All the banners are made with glitter, vintage accompaniments, and many other frills like feathers, fun trims, and all sorts of ribbons and papers. They are the perfect addition to any Halloween decor or party. We had so much fun adding each detail and hope you will enjoy its beauty as it hangs in your home.

Black and White Tablescape "French Style" Napkin Ring Giveaway!

"French Style" Tablescape dedicated to my mom she loves all things French!

Here we are looking through one of my black chairs at the the tablescape :)

Black and White with a little punch of hot pink!
The tablecloth is fabric from Walmart!
I like using unusual things like frames on the table.
Le Poulet (The Chicken).
I used my white dinner plates from Ikea once again and my black and white "Toile" plates on top. (Toile means cloth)
Notice my white napkins spruced with my pink napkin rings!
Do you love or what!
Again I am using my dollar store finds! These little black tea-light holders are fabulous on any table..remember I also used them in Beachy tablescape HERE

These little black tea-light holders are fabulous on any table..remember I also used them in Beachy tablescape HEREI snatched a couple of buds off my beautiful flowering bush (I can't remember the name of it) and placed one in each of these darling juice glasses that I picked up at the thrift store!
I love how my plain glassware just sparkles on the table and how everything looks so European up against the brick walls.

I stole this glass jar from the living room that is filled with white balls that have cute black letters on them. How perfect is that! 
Isn't it interesting how when you use a glass dome and place something very simple underneath it...that simple little item becomes something magnificent. I used a clear glass cake plate to elevate it and give it even more prominence on the table.
I don't have enough of the black and white Toile salad plates so I used these white salad plates that have words on them. The whites don't even match but I think it all came together.
Ahhhh...it just says spring doesn't it. Look at the blue sky with white puffy clouds in the back! I think these colors and ideas would work perfectly for a Mother's Day Lunch or even a wedding reception..don't you think?
Okay...a little secret...see those black charger plates sitting underneath the white dinner plate? They are actually gold and red chargers...I just flipped them upside down!! How cool is that! No money spent here!

ROBIN'S EGG BLUE AND BLACK AND WHITE BEDROOM

As you all know I was gone for a week at Girl's Camp and while I was away my hubby surprised me by painting our bedroom to match our bathroom!! Oh yea!! I was thrilled when I opened up the door to our bedroom and saw the beautiful robin's egg blue covering all our walls. He is one amazing man I must say! I love surprises like that. He did the guest bathroom about a year ago and surprised me with that too. I tried to to surprise him by painting our bathroom but as you may remember I threw my back out and couldn't finish it so he ended up having to do it. He did a good "while you were out" for me. Now I just have to decide what I want to put above our bed. I used to have lots of family photos there but I want a more clean look. I think I will put the photos on the other side of our bedroom around the armoire and maybe just one large black and white photo above our bed. I will keep you posted. I have attached before and after pics.
This is the before that had yellow walls and lots of photos above our bed. I did like this look too but I think I want just one thing above my bed this time.
I also found this photo....this was the before, before picture. This looks more country to me but I liked it too. Yes I know what you are all thinking...she changes things all the time. Yep...I do.... but for very little money! 1 gallon paint for the bedroom, my mom gave me the black and white comforter cover in the above pics, the flowy white curtains and rods were from Ikea (CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP), Spray painted the furniture black and cheap black frames from Walmart! Let me know which room you like best. Karin :)
