First of all
Have I mentioned that I run a bed and breakfast in my home?
Well....Not really.... and not for profit but ...I really do and I love it! Since we moved to Daybreak 4 years ago we have had so many friends and family come and stay with us usually all through the summer months! I am amazed at how many people come and visit even some from all over the world!! There is something so gratifying about getting the guest rooms ready and planning and cooking meals for all of them. This year has been especially busy....maybe some of you have noticed I have slowed down quite a bit in writing my blog posts?
Prior to the 4th of July I had 3 nephews, one niece and a friend of theirs staying here in our home for about 3 weeks straight and we did all kinds of fun outings! After they left and before the 4th we had another niece and her husband stay with us for a weekend, after they left we have had friends from Texas and a young man named Claude from China come into town, Claude has stayed with us. On the 4th we had our friends from Texas come over and a few neighbors and had a big BBQ in the backyard and then watched fireworks together, On Saturday after the 4th many friends of my daughter came over for another BBQ including Yvonne, a young man from Chile who barely speaks English but loves to cook! Then on Sunday we had 13 people over for dinner! ...SO...I have been running a bed and breakfast....cookin up a storm and have been thouroughly enjoying being with sweet new and old friends and have not been able to blog very much.
So now that you know why my posts have not been too frequent let's get started with
Centerpiece Wednesday linky party!

  7. Oh Karin, you have been running a B&B! It looks like you had a lot of energetic help though! I feel the same way often as our beach house is a popular place for visitors~I just got through of 3 straight weeks of guests, and have enjoyed 3 delicious days alone before my husband, son and grandsons return for the weekend. I love it but it is exhausting! I was thrilled to see my party planning post as one of your features, thank you! That is my secret, lots of advance planning :)
I am so glad you are having a fun filled summer after all you have been through lately~

  13. You are obviously a wonderful hostess, who makes your guests feel like they are part of the family. How wonderful for them that they have a friend like that. Thank you for hosting the linkup in the middle of running your not-for-profit bed and breakfast! laurie
