Okay...this is really kind of fun!
Love the idea of using $1.00 store salt a pepper shakers, toothbrush holders and sugar shakers for flower vases! Use flowers from the grocery store or your own backyard!
Have an old drawer to a dresser that does not function anymore? Turn it into a magnetic board. BHG put a piece of galvanized metal inside the drawer and then glued some beautiful scrapbook paper over the metal and hung it on the wall for a new spin on a magnetic board.
Cheri thank you for this beautiful apron..I love it.
and also thank you for your prayers on my behalf of my brother as well.
This is the Father's day meal. Grilled Tuna steaks with fresh Mango salsa, Grilled asparagus, broccoli salad (made with turkey bacon by the way and it was good), and a little bit of chicken pasta salad. It was all scrumptious.
Then for dessert....My hubby loves chocolate and Ice cream so we made him a Chocolate Lava Cake and topped it with creamy vanilla ice cream and a few fresh raspberries.
I am thinking I need to to a giveaway soon too! I will keep you all updated as I put one together. In the meantime go visit the adorable blog.
My oldest daughter.... Madeline and her dad actually put together most of these decorations while I prepared the food with my mom and mother-in-law sister and sister-in-law.
We used Emily's high school T-shirts and Sweat pants to decorate the table and outdoor space by hanging some of them with tape in the windows.
t is a Texas Oklahoma tradition.
You can see more of the Asian lanterns mixed with white lights and blue and white tulle flowing from the ceiling. We served some yummy grilled hawaiin chicken, corn on the cob, yams, broccoli salad, watermelon and a delicious drink made from Limeaid and 7-up with lots of crushed ice. At Emily's school they make "Senior Roalty pants"..they paint their jeans and iron on fabric letters to make them festive. We had to hang them up as well. Here is our delicious corn and yams getting ready to be grilled.
After we ate dinner we all went to a free outdoor concert where a Salsa band was playing and we all got up and danced and it was so much fun!
Congtatulation to our Cute Emmy-Sue! You have done well and I know you will go on to do many more great and fabulous things.
